Thanks to the 65+ generous households that donated food and much needed supplies yesterday during our Thanksgiving Food Drive, Alanton turned in 4180 Lbs of food, turkeys, canned goods, and essential items to the Southeastern Virginia Food Bank!!! Over Two Tons!! Also $210 in monetary donations were received.
We filled 8 Trucks, Vans and SUV's to capacity. A heartfelt "Thank you" goes to one individual, who personally donated 2540 lbs!!! Thank you Scott Ferguson for your amazing generosity. It took 20 volunteers 45 minutes to load Scott's contributions alone.
